I was so excited to be asked to design this shawlette, based on Barbara Walker’s stitch patterns. For the main body, I chose a small, allover eyelet that would not be in competition with the self?striping nature of the Regia. Barbara’s beautiful “Shower Stitch” pattern grows fluidly out of the eyelets, forming a natural border for the shawl. I’ve decorated the spine with a classic horseshoe cable, which widens with the change of patterning. When united, these patterns form a shawlette glamorous enough for any city girl.
